Makerspace Innovhub OPC, a premier technology education firm, extends its warmest congratulations to its esteemed academic partner, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), on achieving two monumental milestones that solidify its position as a leader in Philippine digital transformation. NEUST has been officially recognized as the first-ever partner-owned Digital Transformation Center (DTC) Level 4 in the Philippines by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). Concurrently, the university proudly served as the host for the culminating ceremony of National ICT Month 2025 for Region III.

The landmark DICT Level 4 designation was awarded to the NEUST Innovation Hubs—a state-of-the-art complex at the Sumacab Campus comprising the Technohub, Robotics Center, and Data Center. This recognition followed a rigorous technical validation and site inspection by the DICT’s ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB), affirming the university’s advanced capabilities and infrastructure.

Level 4 is the highest certification awarded by the DICT to a DTC facility. It signifies that NEUST is exceptionally equipped to deliver advanced, high-impact digital skills training in emerging and transformative technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybersecurity. The designation also recognizes its capacity to provide essential support for ICT innovation, including technopreneurship programs, specialized laboratories, and collaborative co-working spaces for the region’s burgeoning tech community.

This significant achievement was celebrated as NEUST hosted the culminating program for National ICT Month 2025 on June 30, 2025, an event spearheaded by DICT Region III. The celebration, aligned with the national theme “Walang Iwanan sa Digital Bayanihan,” brought together leaders from government, industry, and academia to champion inclusive digital progress. NEUST’s central role in the event underscores its profound commitment to the national agenda of ensuring no Filipino is left behind in the digital age.

“We are incredibly proud to witness our partner, NEUST, achieve this historic national recognition,” said Mr. Tzar Umang, Chief Operations Officer of Makerspace Innovhub OPC. “This Level 4 DTC designation is a testament to NEUST’s visionary leadership and its unwavering commitment to excellence. Our partnership is built on a shared goal: to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry demands. With these world-class facilities, we are excited to deepen our collaboration, co-develop advanced training modules, and empower the students of Central Luzon with the skills needed to become the future builders of our nation’s digital economy.”

The milestone was hailed by NEUST leadership as a pivotal moment in the university’s history and a significant step towards realizing its vision of becoming a globally competitive institution.

“Technology is powerful. However, that power must come with purpose. The technology that we use must also help individuals and communities move forward in this fast-changing digital world,” stated Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo, President of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, during the culmination ceremony. “This recognition from DICT inspires us to further our mission. At the end of the day, technology becomes truly meaningful only when it is used to uplift lives and serve the greater good of our communities and our nation.”

The enduring partnership between Makerspace Innovhub OPC and NEUST exemplifies the spirit of “Digital Bayanihan,” demonstrating how public-private collaboration can accelerate innovation and create tangible opportunities for Filipinos. Together, they are poised to transform Central Luzon into a vibrant hub for technology education and development.
