A Technology Incubator Built for Region 1 and North Luzon

Makerspace is the innovation hub and private technology business incubator operated by Makerspace Innovhub OPC. We run workshops with universities, government agencies and developer communities where participants leave holding something they built, a deployed site, a working prototype, a completed audit.

Why this exists

The Talent Is Here. The Pipeline That Turns It Into Product Is Not.

North Luzon graduates capable builders every year. Most leave the region to find work that uses what they learned, because the local ecosystem has no place to incubate an idea past the classroom.

We work with the institutions already holding that talent, universities, agencies, developer communities, and give their people a place to prototype, deploy and be accountable for something real. [Expand with the local context and mandate you want stated here.]

The mantra

Workshops that produce products.

Not a certificate of attendance. Every programme ends with the participants holding a deployed, working, reviewable thing, and we show it.

The Balangay Framework

Built as a Crew of Specialists

The balangay is the pre-colonial Filipino vessel that moved by the coordinated effort of its crew. We are structured the same way: a crew of specialists, no figurehead. It is how the work gets delivered and how this organisation is governed.

01

Specialists at Their Stations

Engineering, design, research and operations are held by different people. A programme is staffed to its brief.

02

Level Partnership

A state university and a student developer community sit at the same table, on the same terms.

03

Accountable Output

Every engagement names what will be built before it starts, and that is what gets reviewed at the end.

04

Regional by Design

Based in Mapandan, working across Region 1 and North Luzon. The ecosystem we build is the one we are in.

What Participants Built

Each entry is a thing that exists: a live URL, a repository, a signed audit. Replace these frames with the real captures.

Who we work with

Every Partner at the Same Size

Universities, agencies, developer communities and student organisations, at uniform size. Every logo cell here is the same dimensions, drop the marks in as they are signed.

Who this site is for

For Universities, Agencies and Developer Communities

Two things start here: a programme commissioned for a cohort you already hold, or a place on the next incubation intake. Everything else, including paid commercial work, is handled by the ventures listed below.
