Privacy Policy
How Makerspace Innovhub OPC handles personal information collected through this website. Last updated 22 August 2026. Each company in the portfolio publishes its own policy for its own services.
What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information that Makerspace Innovhub OPC (“MIH”, “the group”, “we”) collects through this website, and what we do with it. MIH is a One Person Corporation registered in the Philippines, with its registered office at 001 Zinnia St., Nilombot, Mapandan, Pangasinan. It does not cover the separate websites run by the companies in our portfolio, each of which publishes its own policy, nor anything you tell us in person, by telephone, or by email outside this site.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us. The enquiry form asks for your organisation, your role, your email address, and a description of what you are bringing us. The subscribe field asks for an email address and nothing else. Our hosting provider also records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time of the request — which every website generates automatically. We do not ask for sensitive personal information as the Data Privacy Act defines it: government identifiers, health, religion, ethnicity, or financial account details. Please do not send them.
How enquiry data is used
We use what you send us to answer you. A group-level enquiry is read by the officers named on our About Us page and, where the enquiry is really for one of our companies, passed to that company so it can reply directly. An email address given to the subscribe field is used only to send announcements about the group, its companies, and incubator intakes. We do not sell personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Lawful basis and consent
For enquiries, our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, together with our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us and in taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For announcements, the basis is your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing it does not affect processing already carried out, and we may still keep a record of the enquiry itself.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. WordPress, which the site runs on, may set essential cookies needed for the site to work and for administrators to sign in. [Name here any analytics or measurement service running on the site, or state that none is used.] If we add analytics or any other measurement tool, we will update this policy before we do. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Who we share information with
We share personal information in three situations and no others. With the company in our portfolio your enquiry is for, so that it can answer you. With the service providers who run parts of our infrastructure, such as website hosting and email delivery, who process data only on our instructions. And where Philippine law, a court order, or a lawful request from a public authority requires it. We do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiries for as long as the relationship they started is live, and for two years afterwards, so that we can pick a conversation up where it left off. Subscription email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for the period our hosting provider sets, typically no longer than twelve months. When a period ends we delete the information, or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you.
Your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012
Under Republic Act No. 10173 you have the right to be informed about how your data is processed; to access it; to object to processing; to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected; to have data erased or blocked where processing is unlawful or no longer necessary; to obtain a copy in a portable electronic format; to be indemnified for damages caused by false, unlawfully obtained, or misused data; and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period, and we will not charge you for a first request.
Security of your information
Enquiries reach us over an encrypted connection and are held in accounts protected by passwords and, where the service supports it, two-factor authentication. Access is limited to the people who need it in order to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to pose a real risk to your rights, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and the people affected within seventy-two hours of knowing about it, as the Act requires.
